There is Hope Blog Carnival

by MB

Welcome to the 2nd edition of the Christian Encouragement Blog Carnival.  I have thoroughly enjoyed reading many of these encouraging and uplifting posts.  I’m so glad that those submitting have really took their focus and placed it on Jesus.  He is our friend, comforter, and companion during the good and the bad times.  I hope you will take the time to read some of these thoughtful posts.  I am calling this edition “There is Hope”.

Our Past & Future:

First up, Missy Frye presents Book Review: Scars and Stilettos by Harmony Dust posted at Incurable Disease of Writing, saying, “A review of Harmony Dust’s autobiography in which she shares how she came to work as a dancer in a fully-nude strip club and how God found her and led her back out.” If you are looking for some encouragement from past sins, you should definitely go here.

Mike King presents Exploring Life Purpose posted at Learn This.  Mike says, “I believe that we are each guided by our Creator and will ultimately find purpose through Him”.  This is a good reminder to be thinking of what our purpose is as we live in this world, but not become worldly.

Bible Study, Prayer, and Application:

Bible SEO presents Inductive Bible Study Method: How to Guide posted at Bible Study Exposition Online, saying, “How to do Inductive Bible studies: Three steps of inductive bible study method, Observation, Interpretation and Application.” And we all need more help in the Bible Study department, don’t we?

Jim Edwards presents How To Pray: God’s Way to Get Answers posted at EverydayChristianFamily.com, saying, “How to pray Gods way and get results. The effective, fervent prayer of a righteous man avails much! If you accepted Jesus as your Savior you are righteous, so your fervent prayer MUST work! So, why don’t some prayers get results?”

Kole McRae presents Something Religions can Agree on. posted at Love is Like Pancakes, saying, “The title says it all.”  This article is mainly about how all “religions” teach “love others”.  Although I wouldn’t say its “Christian” in nature, it is a good article to think about as we tend to love others.  We must remember that loving others doesn’t come from our inner strength, but by looking to God.

David Cosier presents David Cosier’s Blogs posted at Growing Together As One, saying, “Finding spiritual direction while you rest”.  This is a great piece about finding direction from God instead of looking to ourselves.  We mess things up.  God doesn’t.

Financial:

Steven and Debra presents One World Government and a One World Currency: Is This a “Sign” of the END Times? posted at The END TIMES Hoax, saying, “Do our beliefs about END TIME prophecy affect how we interact with one another in the here and now? And, how does it affect our financial decisions?”  Interesting and thought provoking.  Check it out!

BWL at Christian Personal Finance writes about Positive Thinking, Faith, and Meditating on the Word in his post titled Positive Thinking And Faith.  BWL says, “The way we think about ourselves and the world will determine how well we perform in life. Whether we realize it or not, it is our attitude towards life which is far more important than our circumstances. You may be struggling financially and think it will never end, but don’t give up hope. Instead, believe that you will find a way to get back on your feet again.”

I hope you enjoyed reading through this edition.  If you are interested in submitting an article yourself, please submit your blog article to the next edition of christian encouragement using our carnival submission form. Past posts and future blog carnival dates can be found on our blog carnival page.  I will be posting every 2nd and 4th Saturday and deadlines are the previous Thursday.  Thank you for reading!

  1. What a fantastic carnival! Thanks for hosting and bringing such encouraging articles and blogs to our attention. I appreciate the inclusion of my book review.

  2. Thanks Missy for the submission!

  3. I just came across your post and am thinking about submitting something for your next carnival. One thing I didn’t see spelled out was date requirement for the post itself. Are older posts allowed, or are you looking only for something that was posted some time in the period between the last submission deadline and the next? Thanks.

  4. Hi Barrie, Thanks for visiting my website. As far as the carnival goes, I’m ok with you submitting something in the last few months as long as you haven’t submitted it previously. I guess i never thought about that. I might add that to my blog carnival page and thanks for asking! I am new to doing this, so if I miss something, please feel free to call me out. The posts must be submitted the Thursday before the article publish date. I put it out every 2 weeks. I was doing it every week, but I’m kind of busy…so every 2nd and 4th Saturday is the publish date and the previous Thursday is the due date. You can submit it to me or on the blog carnival website. Just hollar if you have any other questions!

  5. Hey, MB. I submitted an old post (not quite a year old) before I read your revised rules. Sorry! If you can’t use it, let me know and I’ll submit something different. Thanks!
